Request Account Deletion
This page explains how to request deletion of your account for the Worlds Between mobile app, published by Fantasy By Numbers.
You do not need to reinstall the app to submit a request. Email is enough if you no longer have the app on your device.
How to request that your account is deleted
- Send an email to nerds@fbns.ca
- Use the subject line Worlds Between account deletion request
- Include the email address and username associated with your Worlds Between account so we can find it
- We will verify the request (we may reply to confirm it came from the account holder) and then delete your account and player data
We process verified requests as soon as reasonably possible, typically within a few business days. Once processed, your player data is removed from our live database immediately.
Delete your account in the App
If you still have Worlds Between installed, you can delete your account yourself without emailing us:
- Open Settings from the main menu
- In the Account section, tap Delete Account
- Review what will be removed, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete My Account
In-app deletion takes effect immediately in our live systems. You will be signed out and returned to the login screen.
Data that is deleted
When your account is deleted, we delete all player data associated with that account from our live database, including:
- Account information (email address, password, unique account identifier)
- Username and display name (your username becomes available for a new account)
- Character appearance, stats, inventory, equipment, quest progress, and other in-game progression
- App settings and profile customization preferences
- Active event layers and party membership
- Stored location data
- Active session and device records used to manage sign-in
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone from within the App.
Data that may be kept, and for how long
Some copies can remain for a limited time after live deletion, or are kept only in anonymized form:
Encrypted database backups
Deleted player data may remain in encrypted backups until those backups roll off. On a paid database plan with point-in-time recovery, this window is up to 7 days. On the free database tier, automated point-in-time backups are not available; we may keep separate local backups on the same schedule when used for disaster recovery.
Supabase logs
Our database and authentication provider (Supabase) retains API and database logs for up to 7 days. Those logs then expire automatically. We do not export them to a longer-term archive.
Analytics (PostHog)
We delete your PostHog person profile linked to your account identifier. Raw analytics events may persist in PostHog for up to 30 days under PostHog’s retention settings before they expire. Aggregated or anonymized analytics that no longer identify you may be retained longer.
Multiplayer diagnostic logs
Diagnostic logs sent from the App to our multiplayer server are retained for approximately 30 days, then deleted automatically.
Bug reports (anonymized)
If you submitted bug reports before deletion, we may keep them in anonymized form so we can investigate and fix issues. We remove your account identifier, session identifier, and optional location coordinates. We keep the description and technical context (such as app version and platform).
